assembly to junction box on throttle and
fuel metering unit.
13. Reinstall cowling and air frame accessories in
accordance with the airframe manufacturer's
instructions.
14. After
all
requirements
maintenance have been performed and prior to
any engine operation, a complete fuel system
leak check must be performed in accordance
with the aircraft manufacturer or STC holder's
information.
Fuel Line Replacement
Use the following procedure to remove and replace
an existing manifold valve to nozzle fuel line:
1. Remove the screw, lock washer, and flat
washer from fuel bracket and remove the fuel
bracket from the fuel clamp.
2. Disconnect the fuel line at the manifold valve.
3. Disconnect the fuel line at the fuel nozzle and
remove fuel line.
4. Remove the two washers from the fuel nozzle.
5. Position a new or existing fuel line on the
engine and connect it to the fuel manifold
valve. Torque to 55 - 60 inch pounds.
6. Inspect the steel washer and replace the
synthetic rubber washer with new.
7. Install the synthetic rubber washer on the fuel
nozzle. Install the steel washer on the fuel
nozzle. See Figure 9-8.
8. Install the fuel line on the fuel nozzle. Torque
B-nut to 40 - 45 inch pounds.
9. Install the fuel bracket on the fuel clamp with
the screw, new lock washer, and flat washer
that were removed in step 1.
10. If the rubber fuel line protector is damaged,
replace it with a new protector.
11. After
all
requirements
maintenance have been performed and prior to
any engine operation, a complete fuel system
leak check must be performed in accordance
of
scheduled

scheduled
with the aircraft manufacturer or STC holder's
information.
Fuel Hose Replacement
If a fuel hose is damaged, worn, chaffed, or
deteriorated, replace it in accordance with the
following procedure:
1. Remove any airframe supplied support hardware
from fuel hose in accordance with the airframe
manufacturer's instructions. Remove fuel hose
from its elbows. Drain fuel into a suitable
container.
2. Inspect elbow threads for damage. Remove and
replace elbow in accordance with the preceeding
component fitting installation instructions if
damaged or worn.
3. Install new, clean fuel hose on elbows. The fuel
hose must be routed in it's original position away
from any heat source and any airframe support
hardware that was removed must be reinstalled in
accordance with the airframe manufacturer's
instructions.
4. Torque hose fittings in accordance with Table 2,
" Torque Specifications For Hose Fittings
5. After all requirements of scheduled maintenance
have been performed and prior to any engine
operation, a complete fuel system leak check must
be performed in accordance with the aircraft
manufacturer or STC holder's information.
Air Reference Manifold Replacement
Use the following procedure to remove and replace an
air reference line:
1. Remove the hose clamp and air reference hose
from the throttle and fuel metering unit
junction box.
2. Remove the hose clamp and the other end of
the air reference hose from the air reference
junction box.
3. Remove the two hose clamps and the hose
from either side of the air reference junction
box.
4. Remove the B-nut at each air reference
junction to disconnect the air reference lines
from the air reference sleeves.
