2. Loosen and remove the fuel line from the fuel
injector nozzle assembly.
3. Remove the air reference tube and the rubber
seal from the sleeve assembly. The other two
air
reference
disconnected to gain enough clearance to
swing the sleeve enough for it to be removed.
4. Remove the sleeve assembly from the nozzle
assembly by lifting it straight up until it clears
the upper o-ring on the nozzle assembly.
5. Loosen and remove the fuel nozzle.
6. Remove the 2 o-rings from the nozzle
assembly and discard.
7. Clean nozzle by soaking in lacquer thinner,
methyl ethyl keytone or acetone for several
hours.
8. If the nozzle is clean, it is now ready for
assembly described in steps 9 and 10 below.
9. If a nozzle is obstructed and cannot be cleaned
by solvent action, it must be replaced with a
new nozzle.
CAUTION...
Do not attempt to clear nozzle obstruction with wire.
10. Install new o-rings on the nozzle. Apply TCM
646943 antiseize lubricant to cylinder end of
nozzle threads. Reinstall the nozzle and torque
to 55 - 65 inch pounds.
11. Reinstall the sleeve assembly on the nozzle
assembly by sliding it down over both o-rings
until it seats against the hex on the nozzle
assembly.
NOTE...
If seal on sleeve is damaged, a new rubber seal must be
installed.
12. Install a new rubber washer and a steel washer
on exposed nozzle threads.
13. Install fuel line on nozzle. Do not torque at this
time.
14. Install the air reference sleeve nuts on the air
reference manifold male connectors and align
turn with fingers until each seal is seated
between nut and male connector. Using an open
end wrench, tighten the air reference sleeve nuts

an additional 3/4 to 1 turn. Avoid deforming the
rubber seals.
15. Torque the fuel line "B" nut to 40 - 45 inch
pounds.

16. Reinstall all airframe supplied accessories and
cowling in accordance with the airframe
manufacturer's instructions.
17. After
maintenance have been performed and prior to
any engine operation, a complete fuel system
leak check must be performed in accordance
with the aircraft manufacturer or STC holder's
information.
