General Safety Precautions
GB
Great importance has been attached to efficiency, ease of use as well as safety during the design and manufacture of
Husqvarna' products. However, in order for the machine to remain safe some issues need to be observed:
. Working near electrical lines.
Failure to use hydraulic hoses labeled and certified as non-conductive when using hydraulic tools on or near electrical lines
may result in death or serious injury. Be sure the hoses are maintained as non-conductive. The hoses should be regularly
tested for electric current leakage in accordance with your safety department instructions.
. Check tool, hoses, couplers, and connectors daily for leakage. A hydraulic leak or burst may cause oil injection into the
body or cause other severe personal injury.
Do not exceed specified oil flow or pressure for the tool you are using. Excess flow or pressure may cause a leak or burst.
Do not exceed rated working pressure or hydraulic hose used with this tool. Excess pressure may cause a leak or burst.
Do not feel for leak with your hands, contact with a leak may result in personal injury due to the high pressure in the
hydraulic system.
Do not lift or carry tool by the hoses.
Do not abuse hose.
Do not use kinked, torn or damaged hoses.
3. Make sure the hydraulic hoses are properly connected to the tool and locking rings activated before pressurizing system.
System pressure hose must always be connected to tool in-port. System return hose must always be conncted to tool out-
port. Reversing connections may cause reverse tool operations which can result in personal injury.
Do not connect closed-center tools to open-center hydraulic system. This may cause extreme system heat and/or severe
personal injury.
4. Keep the hydraulic couplings free of dirt.
5. Check that the electrical cable to the hydraulic unit is not damaged or can be damaged during work.
6. Onlookers within the working area can be injured. Accordingly, never start the machine without being sure that there are no
persons or animals in the working area. Secure the working area if necessary by roping off the area.
7. Wear ear, eye, foot, hand and head protection while working. Always wear head protection on the job site.
8. Do not disconnect hydraulic hoses until the power pack has been switched off and the motor has come to a complete stop.
9. Always switch off the hydraulic unit's main switch before attempting to move the equipment.
0. In case of emergency, press the red emergency stop switch on the power pack.
