How to Activate the MCI and Perform a Self-Test

Before mounting an MCI to a machine, use the read key to activate the MCI and perform
a self-test to confirm that the MCI is working properly. You must apply the read key
properly to receive the most accurate response from the MCI.
IMPORTANT - once you activate the MCI, it starts to perform its vibration readings every
three hours. Therefore, it's best to hold off on activating the MCI until you are ready to
mount it, to avoid unnecessarily depleting its battery. ONCE ACTIVATED, YOU CANNOT
DEACTIVATE THE MCI.
The three LEDs on top of the MCI blink green, red, or amber at various intervals to
indicate the current alarm mode, alarm status, or error condition.
