The SDM3E may be affected by sudden changes in weather condi-
tions and excessive vibration. This can result in inaccurate sur-
veying. Therefore, IT is IMPORTANT TO CHECK AND ADJUST
THE SDM3E BEFORE AND DURING USE in the following order.

The glass tube of plate level is sensitive to temperature change
. or shock. Be sure to check the plate level Q) before use.

2) Turn the upper part of the SDM3E until the plate level is
perpendicular to a line between leveling screws A and B.
Then center the bubble by means of the leveling screw C.
