4.1 Mechanical Installation
General rules for the environmental protection of the SINAMICS G120 Power Modules
To ensure that the SINAMICS G120 Power Module is installed in the correct environmental
conditions, please ensure that you adhere to the following guidelines:
• The SINAMICS G120 Power Module is designed for IP20 protection only, this means:
• Keep the SINAMICS G120 Power Module free from dust and dirt.
• Keep the SINAMICS G120 Power Module away from water, solvents and chemicals.
• Keep the SINAMICS G120 Power Module within the maximum and minimum operating
• Ensure that the correct level of ventilation and air flow is provided.
• Ensure that good earthing/grounding practices are followed for each SINAMICS G120

All inverters will operate at full specification with cable lengths as follows:
