Mounting the SMART 3000 Thermostat

IMPORTANT:
The SmART 3000 can only be as accurate as the onboard
temperature sensor, or its optional remote temperature sensor(s)
permit. The SmART 3000 should be mounted in a location that is
typical of the ambient room temperature. Do not install near the
floor, in a draft, behind a door, or on a non-insulated, exterior wall.
Install the SMART 3000 away from exposure to sunlight and four to
five feet (1.2 to 1.5 m) above the floor.
• Locate the slot on the housing at the bottom. Take note of the hinge points
and the connection between the two halves.
• Insert a screwdriver or coin into the slot and twist. This will separate the two
halves.
