Fill tank with gas to within 1/2 inch of top of tank.
Fill engine with oil to upper limit of dipstick. Check
oil level by inserting (and not threading) dipstick
into filler neck.

Open fuel valve (a) and activate choke (b).

Depress blade control handle and hold. The choke will
move slowly to OFF position – immediately proceed to
step 9 below.
Pull starter rope with quick, full armstroke. If engine

does not start after ten seconds of repeated pulls, wait
a few minutes and repeat steps 7b through 9.
