Position Send
The feature will allow the WHAMx4 to send the cur-
rent radio position (Lat/Long/Time/Date) if both, the
radio is connected to a GPS and is receiving valid
position information. The following explains the
operation of this feature starting with the normal
channel screen.
When the WHAMx4 receives a position send
request from another radio, the WHAMx4 will either,
automatically send the position/time/date informa-
tion, display the confirmation, and alert the user by
ringing the radio (press any key to disable the ring-

Using Standby

The WHAMx4 will allow the user to place the radio
in an unattended mode. This will not allow an
incoming DSC call. The user will need to place the
radio in this mode if they will be away from the radio

screens illustrate how this function is activated.
Starting from the Channel display mode, the user
will press the Menu key and the following screen will
appear.
