MAGNETRON
Filament Terminals
Refer to page 2-10 for the procedure for servic-
ing the magnetron.
1. Disconnect the electrical power to the
microwave oven.
2. Disconnect the wires from the filament
terminals.
3. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.
4. Touch the ohmmeter leads to the filament
terminals. The meter should indicate less
than 1 Ω.
5. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 100 scale.
6. Touch one of the ohmmeter leads to the
chassis and the other lead to the filament
terminals. The meter should indicate infin-
ity (no continuity).

HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER
Ground Connection
Primary Terminals
Refer to page 2-11 for the procedure for servic-
ing the high voltage transformer.
1. Disconnect the electrical power to the
microwave oven.
2. Disconnect the high voltage transformer
secondary and filament wire connectors
from the high voltage capacitor and mag-
netron.
3. Disconnect the two wires from the primary
terminals.
4. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.
5. Touch the ohmmeter leads to the two
primary terminals. The meter should indi-
cate between .3 and .6 Ω.
6. Touch the ohmmeter leads to the two
filament wire connectors. The meter should
indicate less than 1 Ω.
7. Touch one ohmmeter lead to the red with
a black stripe secondary wire, and the
other lead to the ground connection on the
transformer. The meter should indicate 0
Ω (short circuit).
