There are many options with the DIGIMAX
information which must be decided before the set up and operation can take place. Some
options which are to be used must be connected electrically, and others involve the actions
of the software. The software options are conveyed by the parameters.
Some decisions about how the DIGIMAX
is installed, since connections must be made electrically on the rear terminal strips.
It is better to gather together certain information ahead of time, since it affects
parameter settings, and, if the information is not gathered together first, the programming
process will be delayed. Before attempting to program the parameters, gather the following
information for each unit to be programmed:
After this information has been gathered, it is relatively easy to program the DIGIMAX
to perform the desired functions. The following sections deal with the various steps in
programming the unit in approximately the order in which they will be faced. Refer to the
parameter tables on pages 14 and 20 and to the referenced sections.

For set-up purposes, there are options which are used before the unit is actually placed
in operation. The DIGIMAX
must be chosen, and it can display the commanded or actual speed or ratio.
