At Panther, we know you have a right to expec t reliable, dramatic results. T hat's why we c reated the Panther - so you c an c reate the pic tures. Before you do, we'd like you to read our user instruc tion manual.
Wheel legs must be fully turned out. See wheel legs, p. 12. Note: Do not use the dolly on sloping surfac es or in vehic les. Sec ure the Super Panther III to prevent rolling. T he ground must be stable and unyielding, also when trac ks are being used.

If the Panther is left on for a time, but drive system is not used, a sec ondary system that rec ords the power drag when the brake is released will reapply the brake (a "c lic k" will be heard). Onc e the brake is on, the Panther is bac k in stand by mode and the motor shuts down.
Set the switc hes on front panel (7) as desired (see "Front Panel", p. 6, 7, 8). T urn the Panther on at the main switc h. T he c ontrol LED "POWER" on the front panel will light up, showing that the Panther is on.

When using only one battery, all c olumn movements are effec ted at half the speed of the selec ted position Ac c eleration and dec eleration phases of the Panther c olumn c an be adjusted with the ramp selec ting switc h.
Note: At all ramp settings (soft, medium and hard), but espec ially at "soft", the Panther c olumn will still move somewhat after the handset's manual c ontrol switc h (9) is released: risk of c rushing! Observe safety distanc es.
Use the manual c ontrol switc h to bring the c olumn to the next desired point (= first stopping point). T he Panther elec tronic s will memorize only the highest speed used to reac h this point manually, and will repeat the move at this speed throughout. If you wish to program a slower movement, you must drive slowly to the stopping point.
Powe r Su p p l y T he Super Panther III dolly c an be supplied with power as shown on the diagrams below. Should your Super Panther III dolly be equipped with a snap-on mains power unit + c harger (SN), please read "Operating instruc tions for Snap-On Mains Power Unit + Charger"...

Disengage the loc king levers on two adjac ent kombi wheels and align them using the ac c essory wheel loc king bar (order # 100514 or # 100522). Remove the fourth kombi wheel. For safety reasons, the Super Panther III dolly may not be loaded laterally (risk of tilting!)
W he e l a d j u st me nt It c an happen that a wheel or wheels get knoc ked out of position in transport, by misuse or use of forc e. T his sec tion deals with realigning and adjusting wheels. Loosen the steering axle pivot sc rews on all four kombi wheels.
In this c ase, the outrigger (e. g. outrigger III, U-Bangi) may not be rotated! When using Panther jib arms (e. g. Super Jib II), observe the c orresponding load toleranc e diagrams.
Col u mn Mid -way on the c olumn there is a small platform, intended as a footrest for the c amera operator. T he platform has a fail-safe breakage point built in, so that serious injuries will not oc c ur. If the operator's foot happens to be under the platform while the c olumn is being retrac ted, the platform is designed to break.
T he Super Panther III Dolly c an be operated on wide gauge (62 c m) trac ks and narrow gauge (36 c m) trac ks. T he wheel gauge is adapted to the trac k gauge (p. 12). All four kombi wheels are unloc ked from the steering c hain before trac king (p.
