    Product Features: SIP based IP Intercom with room to room communication utilizing 1 Cat5 wire. Communication works with every Channel Vision front door IP intercom. This cost effective 4.3″ screen features hands free communication and high quality full motion video of the visitor at the front door.
  • Page 4: Pre-Network Settings

    PRE-NETWORK SETTINGS - Connect your IP room station to your switch or router via cat5e or cat6, then launch the CVT Upgrade Tool (This tool is on http://channelvision.com/support/product-support/firmware-software/). Click on the search button to find the IP address of your door station. 192.168.1.230 by default. Verify your computer's LAN settings from a command prompt.
  • Page 5 Once In the command prompt you will type “ipconfig” and press enter to find the IP information of your LAN (your IP address, Subnet mask, default Gateway). Make sure you write down your IP address, your network mask and your default gateway (router address) so you can reference them later.

    2. ACCESSING AND CONFIGURING THE USER INTERFACE - Open a Web browser, type the IP address of your room station into the address bar at the top and press enter to access the user interface. For ST-3048 the default IP is 192.168.1.240. Enter your user name and password to access the user interface.

    3. NETWORK SETTINGS DHCP: leave the DHCP box unchecked, we want to leave the r oom station on a static address to access it later to make any necessary changes. IP: enter an IP address for your room station to use in your network. (refer to pre-network settings info) Mask: 255.255.255.0 The subnet mask of your network.
  • Page 8 TOUCH SCREEN ROOM SETTINGS Build: 1-99. (Must match SI-8000 device settings) Unit: 1-99. (Must match SI-8000 device settings) Floor: 2 digits, 11 is default: (Must match SI-8000 device settings) Room: 2 digits. (If a particular configuration is needed, see sections 4.1 or 4.2.) Device: Must start with 0-9 and not have 2 devices with the same number including mobile phones.

    VOIP SETTINGS: First, the SIP box must be checked to configure this part, as shown: Proxy: URL of your SIP server. For the mobile visualization of the Door Stations , we will use the sip: Linphone app, is an open source SIP Server, so the parameters that fit in this part is: sip.linphone.org.

    To con firm that the VOIP is set up correctly, in the “MAIN” section you will see the SIP Text is OK as a shown: ADVANCED SETTINGS Ex Phone: Enter the URL of an SIP Account to forward when touchscreens room stations not answered.

Browser: enter a web address that you want the BROWSER icon to navigate to. Mall: enter a web address that you want the MALL icon to navigate to. GOV: enter a web address that you want the GOV icon to navigate to.
