1. Outline
The M30830T-EPBM is an MCU board for replacing emulation probe M30830T-EPB for the M32C/81, 82 and 83 Group
MCUs. For the emulation probe, you need to replace an MCU board in the following case.
• At the end of the life of MCUs with internal flash ROM
Because the maximum number of iteration of writing into and erasing internal flash ROM is limited, when it is at the
end of its life, replace the MCU for the emulator.

3. Replacing MCU Boards
How to replace MCU boards is shown in Figure 1 below.

Notes on Handling This Product:
• Before you replace the MCU board, shut off the power, otherwise internal circuits may be damaged.

(1) Unscrew the four screws the
emulation probe.
(2) Pull out the M30830T-EPBM from
the PCA7501EPBA vertically,
otherwise the connectors may be
damaged.
(3) Attach connectors J1 and J2 of the
new M30830T-EPBM to connectors
J3 and J4 of the PCA7501EPBA,
respectively.
(4) Tighten the four screws in an even,
crisscross pattern to secure the new
M30830T-EPBM.
(5) After replacing the board, perform
the self-check to make sure that it is
installed properly.
