Lower the buttonhole lever.

Pull the buttonhole lever toward

Release the buttonhole lever.
Push the buttonhole lever away
from you.
Release the buttonhole lever.
If the result is correct condition,
press the star t/stop button to
proceed the next step.
If the result is defective condition,
press the reverse stitch button to
proceed the next step.

Move the bobbin winder spindle

to the right.

Raise or lower the preser foot

Turn the handwheel toward you.

Lower the needle bar from its
positioning
highest to its lowest position.

lowest position to its highest
position.
If the result is correct condition,

If the result is defective condition,
press the reverse stitch button to
proceed the next step.
Self-diagnostic Test
Correct Condition
LCD displays "03".
When the buttonhole lever is pulled,
buzzer sounds.
When the buttonhole lever is pushed,
LCD displays BH symbol.
* LCD displays "04".
When the bobbin winder spindle is
moved, buzzer sounds.
When the bobbin winder spindle is
moved to the right, LCD displays the
bobbin symbol.
LCD displays "05".
Buzzer sounds when presser foot lifter is
raised or lowered.
The presser foot symbol appears when
the foot lifter is lowered.
LCD displays "06".
Turn the handwheel.
LCD displays stitch width symbol when
the needle bar is at zigzag phase.
LCD displays stitch length symbol when
the needle bar is at feed phase.

Defective Condition
Buzzer does not sound.
BH symbol does not appear or
does not disappear.
q Adjust the buttonhole
sensor position.
