positioning of the child seat; if that is the case, remove the headrest
(Fig.31).
- Make sure the vehicle seat is secured in the rearmost position and that
its backrest is locked in the vertical position.
- Make sure the spacer is adjusted as shown in Fig. 27.
- If your vehicle is included in the list of compatible vehicles and is
equipped with Isofix anchor points, rotate the retractable Isofix system,
located in the rear and below the seat (Figure 28). Make sure the
indicators on the sides of the Isofix arms are in red colour, showing they
are ready for hooking.
- Insert both Isofix connectors of the child seat in the plastic guides.
Snap both connectors onto the Isofix anchor points (Fig. 30).
Important: Ensure the connectors are properly attached to the anchor
points. You should clearly hear two distinct "clicks" and the safety
indicators, on the sides of the Isofix arms, are both green, meaning that
the two connectors are properly fastened.
- Pull the reclining lever to tilt the child seat completely, in order to
operate more easily (Fig. 32)
- Pull the vehicle seat belt and place it between the backrest and the
child seat base.
- Pass the lap-belt under the two red indicated clamps, placed on both
sides of the base, and follow the steps illustrated in Figure 33.
Advice: The presence of any button or stitching on the car seat belt
may prevent the use of one of the lock-off devices.
In this case, move the belt to the top of its lid (Fig. 37), and lock it only
on the opposite side.
The use of a single lock-off device does not affect in any way the
stability and safety of the seat.
- Use only the red marked diagonal belt guide nearest to the retractor,
i.e. on the opposite side of the fastening buckle (Fig. 34).
