Install with lips facing out of center housing (3).

2 Torque to 40 to 50 in-lb (4.5 to 5.6 N-m).
Apply grease.

The words AIR SIDE on diaphragm (36) must face

toward diaphragm shaft (74).
Flat side of the air-side diaphragm plate (37) must face

toward diaphragm shaft (74).
Apply medium-strength (blue) LoctiteR or equivalent to
6
threads, and torque to 80 to 90 in-lb (9 to 10 N-m) at 100
rpm maximum.
