IMPORTANT REMARKS whEN USING ThE BLENDER JUG ATTAShMENT:
•
Never blend ice or hot liquids.
•
Keep hands and utensils out of the blender while processing to prevent the possibility of seve-
re personal injury and/or damage to the blender. A scraper may be used, but only when the
blender is not running.
CLEAN & CARE INSTRUCTIONS
•
Always disconnect the appliance the mains before cleaning.
•
Never immerse the motor unit in water or use caustic or abrasive cleaning materials clean
only with a damp cloth.
CLEANING ThE ChOPPER AND ShREDER
•
Wash the individual components such as bowl "b", chopper blade "c", shredding and slicing
disc "f", throw disc "e" and lid "d", and pusher "h" by hand , or place them in the upper rack of
your washer.
•
Discoloration on the housing caused by carotene, for example, can be removed using cooking
oil.
CLEANING ThE BLENDER JUG
1)
Pour 300ml warm water into the blender jug.
2)
Plug in, rotate the speed selector (aa) to the "ON" position, and blend at a low speed for 30
seconds. Empty the juice jug.
3)
Repeat steps 1 and 2 if desired.
4)
Then fill the juice jug with up to 500ml fresh tap water without soap. Rotate the speed selec-
tor to "PULSE" position, after 5sec. release the knob, after 5sec. start, repeat these steps.
Empty the juice jug.
5)
A washing brush can be used to clean the blades if any food is difficult to remove.
6)
As odour from onions or garlic is difficult to remove, try using lemon juice for cleaning.
7)
When finished, switch off and unplug.
8)
It is easier to clean the soya milk filter attachment by using a small brush (e.g. an old toot-
hbrush). Never use a metal brush.
STORAGE:
After cleaning the various parts, wipe gently with a clean cloth. Reassemble all parts and keep
the appliance in a dry place. Remember to clean al the parts after each use.
hINTS:
1)
Whenever possible, drink the juice as soon as it is ready as it is much tastier and the vita-
mins are still present. If the juice is to be stored for a few hours, use a glass container and
add some lemon juice to preserve it. Keep it in the refrigerator.
2)
If the appliance or cord is damaged, we advise you not to use the appliance but to take it to
the retailer for repair.
Remember: Do NOT operate this appliance continuously for more than 2 minutes. After ope-
rating for two minutes, switch off for at least 2 minutes to cool down the motor.
