Turning Curved Edges
1. For inside curves, guide the
fabric
gently, applying pressure w i t h
your
left hand at point " A " in the direction
of the arrow, and at the same time
applying a little pressure in the op-
posite direction w i t h your right hand
at point " B " .
2. For outside curves, sew in a similar
manner, but applying the pressure in
the opposite directions.

Removing Stitches from
S e w n Fabric
1. Snip the needle thread(s) at intervals.
Then gently pull the looper thread ; the
stitching will unravel and be easy to
remove.
Sewing Extra Heavy Fabrics
Before sewing extra heavy fabrics, it is
advisable to lock the moving blade.
Remove the sewing foot (see page 5).
Loosen the screws (a) w i t h the screw-
driver (b) so that the needle plate can
be taken off.
Tighten the screw
(c) w i t h the Allen
screwdriver (d) to lock the moving blade.
Refit the needle plate and the sewing
foot.
After sewing extra heavy fabrics, always
loosen this screw slightly, to unlock the
blade for normal sewing.
