Multi Room Wi-Fi Control
Q. I have a Multi Room system with 6 indoors. How many
Mitsubishi Electric Wi-Fi Interfaces do I need to buy?
A. For MXZ systems you will need a Wi-Fi Interface for each
indoor unit that you wish to control via the Wi-Fi Heat Pump
Control service.
Q. I have a Multi Room system. When I select Heating,
Cooling, Auto or Fan Speed mode on 1 indoor the MXZ
system does not change mode.
A. The MXZ system can only operate in a single mode for
all indoors that are currently on. This is also a limitation for
normal controllers.
Q. I have a Multi Room system installed. If I accidentally
set the mode for one of my units to heating and the other
to cooling what will happen?
A. In this case the indoor that is turned on first will become
the 'lead' unit. For example, if you set your 1st indoor unit to
24ºC heating, then set your 2nd indoor unit to 22ºC cooling,
the multi outdoor will remain in heating mode as this was the
mode selected first.
Even though you have used the Wi-Fi Control App to
command the 2nd unit to cool, the indoor unit will sit in
standby with flashing LED's, however this does not mean
your Wi-Fi App is not working. The cooling command on the
second heat pump will not activate until a) all heat pumps are
turned on to the same mode as the 'lead' heat pump (in this
case the 24ºC heating), b) until the 'lead' unit is turned off, or
c) all heatpumps are changed to cooling.
