Presenter Module is connected to an external monitor and your computer at the same time, observe the
following:
• When the projector is on, the video signal from your computer is displayed through the projector instead
of the external monitor.
• When the projector is off, the video signal from your computer is displayed on the external monitor
through the HDMI connector.

Module interface connector
Use this connector to attach the Presenter Module to the computer.

Power button
Press the power button to turn on or turn off the projector.

Pogo interface connector
The pogo interface connector is under the ThinkPad cover. Remove this cover to attach the Thin Keyboard to
the Presenter Module. See "Attaching the Thin Keyboard to your computer" on page 31.

Pogo pins
Use the pogo pins to connect to the pogo interface connector on the computer.

Focus button
Press the focus button to adjust the sharpness of the presented image.

Projector
Rotate the projector to adjust the projection position. You also can use it to turn off the Presenter Module.
When the projector is rotated facing inward, the Presenter Module turns off.

Lock levers
The lock levers lock the Presenter Module to your computer tightly.
To use the projector on the ThinkPad X1 Tablet Presenter Module:
The computer must have the ThinkPad X1 Tablet Presenter Module PopUp Utility program installed. Your
computer might have this program preinstalled. In this case, you can use the projector directly. Otherwise,
download and install the program from
To configure the settings of the projector, go to Lenovo Companion ➙ Hardware Settings ➙ Display,
Camera & Audio/Media. Locate the Display section, and then go to X1 Projector. Follow the on-screen
instructions.

Attaching the optional module to your computer

Note: If you detach the Base Module, do not discard it. You must have one type of module installed to
connect the optional thin keyboard.
1. If you are using a ThinkPad X1 Tablet Gen 2, a screw might have been installed in the screw hole in the
Base Module. In this case, open the film to reveal the screw and then remove the screw.
