Con guring PPPoE
Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet PPPoE is used mainly y
ISPs that provide SL modems to connect to the Internet.
To vie the PPPoE settings, click Internet, then click PPPoE.
Userna e
Enter the username assigned y an ISP.
Password
Enter the pass ord assigned y an ISP.
Service Na e
Enter the service name of an ISP optional .
MTU (Maxi u Trans ission Unit)
Enter the
TU . The TU speci es the largest packet si e
permitted for an internet transmission PPPoE default: 1 92 .
The TU si e can e set et een 512 and 1 92.
Authentication Type
Select the type of authentication provided y the ISP: Auto, PAP,
or HAP. If unsure of the est setting, select Auto or check ith
your Internet Service Provider.
Type
on gure the connection type et een the router and the
ISP. Select one of the follo ing: Keep Connection, Auto atic
Connection or Manual Connection.
Idle Ti eout
on gure the ma imum idle time 1 to 1,
for an inactive connection.
Clone MAC
Enter the A address of the devices' net ork interface
card

Note: Some ISP providers re uire registering the A address
of the net ork interface card

lick Apply to save the settings or Cancel to discard the
