Congratulations on the purchase of your new Logik CD Radio Clock with DAB We recommend that you spend some time reading this instruction manual in order that you fully understand all the operational features it offers. You will also find some hints and tips to help you resolve any issues.
Handling the Batteries • Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which could cause fire, personal injury or damage to property. • Only use the battery type indicated in this manual. • When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function. Replace the battery at the same time with new ones.
Connections Connecting to the Mains Socket Connect the mains cable at the rear of the main unit to the mains socket. To the Mains Socket Using Earphones Connect earphones (Ø3.5mm stereo mini plug) to the earphone socket. Adjust the volume control to obtain the desired volume level.
Basic Operation Powering ON/OFF When you first connect the unit to the mains socket. The unit will be in STANDBY mode. • Press the STANDBY/ON button to switch the unit on. • Press the STANDBY/ON button again to switch the unit off. • Disconnect the mains cable from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit off completely.
The minute digits will flash. Turn the VOL/SKIP/SELECT control on the unit or press the SKIP/SELECT buttons on the remote control to adjust the minute digits, and then press the SELECT button to confirm. The wake-up mode settings will flash on the display. Adjust BEEP TONES / DAB &...
Sleep Function This function allows you to program the unit to switch off by itself after a set period of time. To activate the sleep function, press the SLEEP button repeatedly. The time will change in the below sequence on every press: Stop pressing the button when the display shows your desired length of time.
DAB Operation If the unit is connected to the mains power and then switched on from standby for the first time, the unit will automatically enter into DAB mode and perform the auto scan function. During the scan the LCD display will show “Scanning …” together with a slide bar that indicates the progress of the scan and the amount of stations that have been found so far.
Secondary Services You may see a “ ” symbol after the name of the station during tuning (press the JOG MODE button, then turning the VOL/SKIP/SELECT control on the unit), this indicates that there are secondary services available to that station. These secondary services contain extra services that are related to the primary station.
DAB Display Modes Every time you press the DISPLAY/INFO button, the display will cycle through the following display modes: Time/Date, Frequency, Audio Bit Rate, Signal Strength, DLS, Programme Type, Ensemble/Multiplex (Group name). FM Operation Switching from DAB to FM Mode To switch the unit to FM mode, press the CD/DAB/FM button repeatedly to select FM. The LCD display will show “switch to FM”, and show the frequency. Auto Scan To search for an FM station, press and hold the SKIP/SELECT button on the remote SKIP/SELECT button on control to start the forward auto scanning.
