ALI-NVR71128R Embedded Network Video Recorder Setup Guide
This setup guide provides instructions to initially setup and use the ALI-NVR71128R network video recorder (NVR). This NVR features:
Supports up to 128 video input (camera) channels
Pluggable HDD provides a convenient HDD installation and maintenance; low-noise design
Supports HDD hot-swap with RAID0, RAID1, RAID5, RAID6, and RAID10 storage scheme with configurable N+1 hot spare
Up to 24 SATA hard disks can be connected for recording and backup
Redundant hot-swap power supply to improve the system stability
Dual-OS design to ensure the reliability of system
Connectable to ALIBI IP cameras and third-party network cameras including ACTI, ALIBI, Arecont, AXIS, Bosch, Brickcom, Canon,
HILVISION, PANASONIC, Pelco, PSIA, SAMSUNG, SANYO, SONY, Vivotek, ZAVIO and other ONVIF compatible cameras
Support live view, storage, and playback of the connected camera with up to 12 megapixels resolutions
Simultaneous HDMI 1 / VGA (main) and HDMI 2 (auxiliary) outputs
Video outputs at up to 4K (4096 × 2160) resolution
Video Wall display options with 6 display channels
Supports decoding up to 20 channels at 1080p resolution

Function Description
POWER button
Press to power on /off the NVR.
Solid blue indicates NVR is powered on.
POWER
Solid red indicates NVR is powered off.
- Solid red: at least one HDD is installed
HDD
- Not lit: No HDD is detected
- Blinking red: HDD is reading or writing
Status Indicators
TX/RX
Flashes blue when network communication is normal. .
READY
Ready LED is normally blue, indicating that the device is functioning properly.
ALARM
Solid red indicates an alarm condition is present.
USB connector
USB 3.0 port
HDD bay occupancy indicators (1..24)
Lit when an HDD occupies the bay
Front Panel Lock
You can lock (or unlock) the panel by the key to remove the front panel for access to HDD bays

    Secure the NVR to the rack with the two bolts (not provided), one through the upper left corner and one through the upper configuration can be setup during system initialization and with Alibi CMS V3.1 (or later). right corner of the front.

  • Page 8 In the window shown below, you can check the select box to enable RAID for the HDDs storage in the NVR. By default in the Wizard, RAID 5 is used. To enable fixed network settings, first, un-check the Enable DHCP box. If a DHCP server is active on your network, the IPv4 Address, IPv4 Subnet Mask, IPv4 Default Gateway fields will be populated with network settings assigned by the server.

    In the next window, click Search button to discover all compatible cameras on the LAN(s) the NVR is attached to. Other devices, such as NVRs and Alibi compatible storage servers are also listed. You can add cameras to the NVR in two ways: After selecting the recording mode, click OK, and then click Yes in the Attention popup window.
