NOTE:
and there can be only one serial port session active at a time. Telnet
takes priority, so the serial port is terminated when a Telnet
connection is made. The serial connection is restored after the Telnet
session is completed but re-logging in is required. A password is
required to login to the serial port session as password checking is
skipped only at initial power on.
CAUTION
Serial Cabling and Emissions Requirements
The switch uses a standard serial cable with a male 9-pin D-Subminiature connector (but
only pins 2, 3 and 5 are required/supported; if 7 is used, this signal must always be driven
high, with the following pinouts:

Connections
The serial port and Telnet connection are mutually exclusive
The serial port is intended for initial configuration of the IP address or
disaster recovery only and not for regular maintenance.
