Maintenance and Adjustment
•
Refit the reservoir cap ensuring that
the diaphragm seal is correctly
positioned between the cap and
reservoir body. Tighten the cap
retaining screws.
•
Retain the reservoir to the airbox by
tightening the original fixing.
•
Refit the right hand side cover.
Rear Brake Fluid Level Inspection
and Adjustment - Scrambler

•
The rear brake fluid level is visible
from the right hand side without
removing the reservoir or cover.
•
The brake fluid level in the rear
reservoir must be kept between the
upper and lower level lines, with the
motorcycle supported in an upright
position.
•
To adjust the rear brake fluid level,
release the fixings securing the

reservoir cover to the frame and
detach the reservoir cover.
•
Remove the cap noting the position
of the diaphragm inside.
•
Fill the reservoir to the upper level
line using DOT 4 fluid from a sealed
container,
with
supported in an upright position.
•
Refit the reservoir cap ensuring that
the diaphragm seal is correctly
positioned between the cap and
reservoir body.
•
Position the reservoir cover to the
frame and secure with the two
fixings previously removed. Tighten
the fixings to 7 Nm.
