/ Photo Mode

FIELD OF VIEW (FOV) (PHOTOS)

Your camera includes several FOV options for photos. All photos are
captured at 12MP.
FOV
Description
Largest ield of view, increased image
Wide
stability. Good for action shots to capture as
much as possible within the frame.
Mid-range ield of view, moderate
Medium
image stability.
Mid-range ield of view that removes the
isheye distortion. Good for capturing aerial
Linear
footage or any other shot where you want to
remove the distortion.
Smallest ield of view, reduced image
Narrow
stability. Reduced distortion. Good for
capturing content at a distance.

/ Photo Mode
WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE (WDR)

Wide Dynamic Range improves the level of detail in the dark and
bright areas of an image. The result is a photo that is properly exposed
for both of these extremes. This setting is especially useful for scenes
that are backlit or that have large bright regions.
WDR is available only for the Photo catpure mode and only when Raw
Photo is turned of. The options for this setting are Of (default) and On.
RAW PHOTO

Photos from your GoPro are saved as .jpg iles. With Raw Photo,
you can also save them as .dng iles to give you more control during
editing.
Raw Photo is available only for the Photo capture mode and only when
Wide Dynamic Range is turned of. The options for this setting are Of
(default) and On.
