CHARGING THE BATTERY
For the best experience with your new camera, we
recommend fully charging the battery before irst use.
1. Press the button on the bottom door, then slide it open.

2. Insert the battery, then close the door.
3. Press the button on the side door, then slide it open.

4. Connect the camera to a computer or other USB charging adapter
using the included cable. The camera status light turns on during
charging and turns of when charging is complete.
When charging with a computer, be sure that the computer is
connected to a power source. If the camera status light does not
turn on, use a diferent USB port. The battery charges to 100% in
about X hours.
Note: When using GoPro's USB-compatible Wall or Auto Charger (both sold separately), the battery
charges to 100% in about two hours.
You can also charge the battery outside of the camera using the
Dual Battery Charger for HERO5 Black (sold separately).
