Send all but the last characters
E9 Include in the output message all but the last "nn" characters,
starting from the current cursor position. The cursor is moved
forward to one position past the last input message character
included. Syntax = E9nn where nn stands for the numeric value
(00-99) for the number of characters that will not be sent at the
end of the message.
Insert a character multiple times
F4 Send "xx" character "nn" times in the output message, leaving
the cursor in the current position. Syntax = F4xxnn where xx
stands for the insert character's hex value for its ASCII code,
and nn is the numeric value (00-99) for the number of times it
should be sent.
Refer to the
beginning on page A-4 for decimal, hex and character codes.
E9 and F4 Example: Send all but the last characters, followed by
2 tabs
Send all characters except for the last 8 from the bar code
above, followed by 2 tabs.
Command string: E908F40902
E9 is the "Send all but the last characters" command
08 is the number of characters at the end to ignore
F4 is the "Insert a character multiple times" command
09 is the hex value for a horizontal tab
02 is the number of times the tab character is sent
The data is output as: 1234567890AB <tab><tab>

Move Commands

Move the cursor forward a number of characters
F5 Move the cursor ahead "nn" characters from current cursor
position. Syntax = F5nn where nn is the numeric value (00-99)
for the number of characters the cursor should be moved ahead.
F5 Example: Move the cursor forward and send the data
Move the cursor forward 3 characters, then send the rest of the
bar code data from the bar code above. End with a carriage
