Click Use WPS and enter the WPS PIN.
Note: The WPS option is not available if your network doesn't have WPS
functionality.
5. To view basic settings, change connection type, and set advanced settings, click the
Advanced Options down arrow:
a. View your My Passport Wireless' MAC Address (machine address), device name,
b. By default, the network mode is DHCP, which means the drive automatically gets the
IP address and other settings from your network. If you select Static IP, set the IP
address manually and you will be prompted for Subnet mask, Gateway IP address,
and DNS Server.
Note: When configuring Static or DHCP, record your IP address, Subnet mask,
Gateway IP address, and DNS Server in a safe location for future
reference. This information will not be displayed once it is entered into
drive.
6. Click OK to display the Wi-Fi screen showing the hotspot connection:
If the network you joined has Internet connectivity, you now have Internet access. And if
other computing devices join the My Passport Wireless drive's Wi-Fi network, they will also
have access to the drive's content as well Internet connectivity,
for it.
Some hotspots require you to log in when you first open a browser window.

Connecting to Your Home Wi-Fi Network

When your drive is connected wirelessly to your computer or a mobile device with a direct
connection, you can change the connection so that the drive has access to your home Wi-Fi
network only. All devices on the home Wi-Fi network can access the drive.
