1 Docking-station connector
You can connect the computer to a supported docking station to extend the computer capabilities.
2 Fan louvers
The fan louvers and internal fan enable air to circulate in the computer to ensure proper cooling, especially
the cooling of the microprocessor.
3 Keyboard drainage holes
If you accidentally spill water or drink over the keyboard, the keyboard drainage holes can help drain out
liquid from your computer.

Micro-SIM-card slot
The micro-SIM-card slot is in the battery compartment. If your computer supports wireless wide area
network (WWAN) connections, your computer might require a micro Subscriber Identification Module (SIM)
card to establish wireless-WAN connections. For information about replacing or installing the micro SIM
card, see "Replacing the micro SIM card" on page 97.
Attention: Do not insert a nano-SIM card with the nano-to-micro-SIM adapter into the micro-SIM-card slot.
Otherwise, the slot might be damaged.
5 Removable battery
You can use the computer with battery power whenever ac power is unavailable.
