10 Open the computer display and press the power button to turn on the
computer.
NOTE:
It is recommended that you turn on and shut down your computer at least
once before you install any cards or connect the computer to a docking device or
other external device, such as a printer.
11 (Optional). (For discussion) Turning on the optional backlight keyboard.
12 (Optional). (For discussion) Using the ambient light sensor. (ALS).
13 (Optional). Usingthe Dell™ ControlPoint (DCP). Activate DCP by
pressing the DCP button just left of the power button. The Dell
ControlPoint icon appears on the taskbar. Click the icon to access Dell
ControlPoint Help and additional features and options. For more
information about DCP, see the Dell Technology Guide on your computer
or at support.dell.com.
