Tips for Conserving Your Battery
The Kindle battery will have a much longer life if you charge it
frequently, rather than waiting until it is fully drained to charge it.
The battery may need recharging if it has not been used for a long period
of time, whether or not it was fully charged before it was stored.
Battery Safety
CAUTION! FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS COULD
RESULT IN FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR OTHER INJURY OR DAMAGE.
Do not attempt to disassemble or short-circuit the battery.
Do not handle a damaged or leaking battery.
Do not incinerate the battery.
Charge the battery only in temperatures that range from 32°F to 95°F
(0°C to 35°C).
