A1. If the engine shuts off before 10 seconds, follow the "Engine Crank
Detection Programming" Step 1 and Step 2 procedure on page 22 to
change "low check level" to "hi check level" (2 chirps). Exit the
programming mode and Repeat A above.
A2. If the engine cranks too long or too little, follow the "Engine Crank
Detection Programming" Step 1 and Step 2 procedure on page 22 to
select a different crank duration (see chart enclosed). Exit the
programming mode and Repeat A/A1 above.

3. With the engine at true idle speed, press and hold the valet switch
until you hear (1) long chirp and the LED is on solid for two seconds.
Note: If you do not get a response from holding down the valet switch,
check your tach connection. It may be loose or incorrect.
4. Turn off the ignition key.
