Spark Plug Check and Adjustment

Dirty electrode or excessive gap can cause poor sparking.
< Cleaning Method>
● Use a Spark Plug Cleaning Device is the best way.
● If a Spark Plug Cleaning Device is not available, clean
with a needle brush.
<Adjustment>
● Normal gap of spark plug is 0.6〜0.7mm.
(See the Figure on the right)

<Specified Spark Plug>
(N.G.K) CR8E
● Do not use a Spark Plug other than the specified one.
● Use a cool-type spark plug for high-speed or heavy
load driving.
Side Electrode
Core
Spark Plug Gap: Indicates the gap between side electrode
and core electrode.

Engine is at high temperature when stopped; be careful
not to get burnt.

Hand-tighten Spark Plug first, then tighten it with a
plug spanner.
