Adjusting the mirrors downward when reversing
■
Put the transmission selector lever in the "R" position.
Move the mirror switch to the "L" or "R" position.
The mirrors will return to their previous position if one of the following occurs:
• The selector lever is moved to a position other than "R".
• The mirror switch is moved to the neutral position.
• The engine switch is set to ACC.
Mirror operating conditions

The engine switch must be turned to ACC or ON.
When the mirrors are fogged up
■
Turn on the mirror heaters to defog the mirrors. (P.154)
CAUTION
When driving the vehicle
■
Observe the following precautions while driving.
Failing to do so may result in losing control of the vehicle and cause an accident,
resulting in death or serious injury.
Do not adjust the mirror while driving.

Do not drive with the mirrors folded backward.
●
Both the driver and passenger side mirrors must be extended and properly
●
adjusted before driving.
When the mirror heaters are operating
■
Do not touch the mirror surface as the mirror surface becomes hot.
And do not touch the mirror surface also when the wiper switch is on at lower than
 
77 F (25 C) of the outside temperature.
