operate your system, and Unauthorized Transmitter Alert
(UTA) warns you if transmitters have been recently programmed to
operate your system.
Every time the ignition switch is turned on, the LED Status Light
shows how many operable transmitters by flashing the number,
between pauses. For example: two flashes and a pause indicate
that only two transmitters are coded to operate your system. This
display occurs for 10 seconds every time the ignition switch is
turned on. If transmitters have been programmed within the last 48
hours, every time the ignition is turned on the LED Status Light
display extends to 90 seconds, and the horn will rapidly chirp for 2
seconds.
To Program Transmitters, have all of your transmitters present
in the vehicle, and follow this procedure:
Step 1 - Turn the vehicle's ignition on. Within 7 seconds press
the Valet Switch 5 times. The system will respond by briefly
sounding the horn once.
Step 2 - Within 7 seconds press the OPTION button on the first
transmitter to programmed. The system will respond with a
horn chirp, which confirms that the transmitter has been
programmed into the system.
Repeat Step 2 for each transmitter which is to operate the system.
When any transmitter is programmed, even one which already
operates the system, all previously known transmitters will be
erased from operating your system as a security measure. There-
fore, when programming an additional or replacement transmitter
into the system, all of the transmitters which are to operate the
system must be programmed at the same time.
Turning the ignition switch "off", or 15 seconds of no program-
ming activity, will cause the system to exit the transmitter program-
ming mode, which the system will indicate by briefly sounding the

disarmed with unlocked doors.
With presence of mind, this "enhanced remote Panic" operation
can offer some important options in emergency situations. For
example, you can flee a secured vehicle with it attracting attention
in Panic mode, or you can more easily seek refuge in the vehicle by
stopping Panic with the doors unlocking at the same time.
By utilizing one of the programmable features, the PANIC
button may be used to operate the Additional Output if desired. The
Option Output and Additional Output are described on page 14-15,
and this programmable feature is described on page 27.
The LED Status Light
The LED Status Light indicates several system conditions;
these are categorized into three areas: System Status, Automatic
Transmitter Verification
System Status: The LED Status Light is a visual indicator of
what state the security system is in at any given time. It is normally
positioned in a location that is easily observed by the driver. There
are four possible status conditions that the system can be in, as
reflected by the LED status light:
-
Off
-
On Constant
-
Flashing Slow

transmitters programmed to operate the system. For example: two
flashes and a pause indicates that two transmitters are programmed
to operate the system. This display is shown for 10 seconds every
