Preparing the appliance for
cleaning
 Switch the appliance off.
The display goes out and cooling is
turned off.
If this does not happen, then the safety
lock is still activated (see "Selecting ad-
ditional settings - Activating/deactivat-
ing the lock").
 Unplug the appliance or trip the cir-
cuit breaker.
 Take any food out of the appliance
and store it in a cool place.
 Take out all other removable parts for
cleaning.

Shelf
Before cleaning the shelf remove the
stainless steel trim at the front and the
protective strip at the back of the shelf.
To do this:
 Place the shelf on a worktop covered
with a soft material (e.g. a tea towel).
 Pull the stainless steel trim off the
shelf beginning at one side.
 Remove the protective strip at the
back.
 After cleaning the shelf reattach the
stainless steel trim and the protective
strip.
