Connecting an external microphone

Adjusting microphone volume – Windows XP
If necessary, adjust the volume of the microphone as follows:
1.
Press the Windows Start key; then open the Control Panel.
2.
In the Control Panel window, double-click the Sounds and Audio
Properties icon.
In the Sounds and Audio Properties window, click the Audio tab.

In the Sound recording area, click the Volume button.
5.
Adjust the volume.
6.
Click OK.

If necessary, adjust the volume of the microphone as follows:
1.
Press the Windows Start key; then open the Control Panel.
2.
In the Control Panel window, double-click the Sound icon.
3.
In the Sound Properties window, click the Recording tab.
4.
Select Microphone; then press Properties.
5.
Select the Levels tab.
6.
Adjust the microphone volume or boost.
7.
Click OK.
