Operation during play

• Discs continue to rotate while menus are displayed. Press
[∫] when you have finished playback to protect the unit's
motor, your TV screen, etc.
General operations
Status messages
Press [STATUS
] twice.
e.g.,

Remain HDD

Stop
Press [∫].
Resume play function
Press [1 a1.3] to restart from the stopped
position.
• Discs: Only previous stopped position is memorised. The
position may be cleared if the tray is opened or the unit is
switched to standby mode.
Quick View
Press and hold [1 a1.3].
• Press again to return to normal speed.
• MKV, MP4 and MPEG2: Quick View is not effective.
• Quick View is not effective when playing back the DVD-RW
disc.
• Quick View may not work when recording in XP or FR
mode.
• Quick View cannot be used on encrypted programmes

Press [6] or [5].
• Press [1 a1.3] to restart play.
• The speed increases up to 5 steps.
([+R] [+RW]: Up to 3 steps)
• MKV, MP4 and MPEG2: Audio is not heard during all
levels search.
Pause
Press [;].
• Press [1 a1.3] to restart play.
Slow-motion
While paused, press [6] or [5].
• Press [1 a1.3] to restart play.

• MKV, MP4 and MPEG2: Slow-motion is not effective.
• [BD-V], AVCHD ([DVD-R]): Forward direction [5] only.

While paused, press [2] (2;) or [1] (;1).
• Each press shows the next frame.
• Press and hold to change in succession forward
or backward.
• Press [1 a1.3] to restart play.
• MKV, MP4 and MPEG2: Frame-by-frame is not effective.
• [BD-V], AVCHD ([DVD-R]): Forward direction [1] (;1) only.
• Frame-by-frame cannot be used on encrypted programmes
