11. Call OCLC
"Drive
Not
Ready" from an attached drive-Make
sure that
a
compact disc is correctly loaded (right side up) in the drive and
the drive door is
closed.
If
that is not the problem, check that the
drive selection
(on
the back of the drive) is correct.
"Seek
Error"-Make sure the cable connecting the CD controller
board to the drive is securely attached at both ends and the drive
selection (on
the back of the drive) is
correct.
"Time
Out Error"-Make
sure
that a compact disc is loaded in the
drive and the drive door
is
closed.
If
this is not the problem, try
an-
other disc
(the first
may be defective).
Test data dumped from the wrong drive-Make
sure
that
your
drive
selection (on
the back of the drive) is
correct.

Make sure
that
all
device drivers, utility files, and other user-
installed
software
remain
valid
for the upgraded system.

Remove any user-installed modifications
(for
example, an internal
modem) that may have been added to
your
workstation but are not
part of this CD drive
installation.

Review installation procedures and rerun the diagnostic procedures.

cannot resolve the problems, call OCLC
