control circuits, raise/lower circuits. depend on the types of equipment used.
Consult your equipment manuals for suggestions.
The control circuits are rated at 3 Amps, 120VAC.
If greater current or
vOltage ratings are needed, use external 12 or 24 Volt, AC or DC, relays.
Maintain sample vOltage levels below 1 to 3 Volts (2 Volts gives reading
of 1.999).
Since the voltage inputs are floating, both positive and negative
leads should be used.
All connections should be
sold~red
to connector eyes,
or soldered to lugs for terminal strips.
Good contact is essential with min-
ute sample levels.
It is best to use shielded cable to reduce RF pickup.
To
further eliminate RF, bypass all sample lines to ground and across the pair
with 0.001 mfd capacitors at their source.
Ground the shield at the source and
at the remote control.
Remember. at FM frequencies, even a short wire can
be-
come a substantial antenna.
The failsafe circuit is rated at 120VAC, 2 Amperes, conservative.
The con-
tacts are closed under normal control.
If the reverse is needed, move the wire
soldered to terminal F' to F" located near relay Yl On the Main Transmitter Logic
Board.
The external terminals for the failsafe circuit are located On the rear
of the Transmitter Unit, RMC 1ST.
The remote alarm and status inputs are activated by grounding the terminals
on the rear of [he transmitter unit.
This may be done through external diodes.
DECIMAL POINT PROGRAMMING OF THE STUDIO UNIT
The decimal point for each channel may be set by means of programming switches
located behind the cover plate found on the front of the Studio Unit, the RMC 1SS.
Remove the plate to access the switches.
The plate should be replaced after pro-
gramming to keep from losing it and to eliminate casual tampering with the switches.
The switches are
10
four groups, four channels per group, two switches per
channel.
In the first group, switches 1 and 2 are for channel zero, 3 and 4 for
