4. Push down the tool until the tip of the trimmer bit
touches the flat surface, and then turn the fixing lever to
secure the tool.

5. Press down the stopper pole while pressing the
feed button until it contacts the stopper screw.

6. Slide the depth pointer so that the pointer indi-
cates "0" on the scale.

7. Adjust the cutting depth by pulling up the stopper
pole while pressing the feed button.

8. To perform fine adjustment of the cutting depth,
turn the dial on the stopper pole so that it indicates "0".

9. Turn the head of the stopper pole to obtain the
desired depth. To increase the depth, turn the head
counterclockwise. To decrease the depth, turn the head
clockwise.

10. Tighten the stopper pole fixing nut.
