Manual Background information Distance to spot size ratio As you can see below, the spot size (S) of the area measured by the unit becomes larger as the distance (D) from the object increases. In both cases illustrated below, the focal point is 914 mm (36”). The spot sizes indicate 90 % encircled energy.

Manual Measurement ① Hold the meter by its handle and point the IR sensor towards the surface to be measured. ② Pull and hold the trigger to turn the meter on and start the measurement. The display will light up if the battery voltage is sufficient.
