Messaging

With messaging, you can send and receive instant
messages between your device and another
messaging-ready device. When you receive a new
message, a new message icon will appear on the
status bar.
There are two types of messaging, Text Messaging
(SMS) and Multimedia Messaging (MMS).
Multimedia messages consist of both text and
multimedia files, such as pictures, videos, or voice
recordings.
Composing Messages
1.
Press

New message

Tap the
field and enter your phone number or

email information using the onscreen keyboard. As
you enter either a phone number or email address,
if the information matches a current contact's entry
information, you will see a match. When you see a
match, tap the associated name to complete the
addressing.

Tap the Enter key or the Next key when you have
finished entering recipients.

Enter a message in the text field.

To access more features, press
following options:
to add a subject to the message.
Add subject
to add a file attachment. See "Attaching
Attach
Files to a Message" below.
to add smiley icons to the message.
Insert smiley
to discard the message.
Discard
All threads
to save the message as draft and close
the compose message screen.

Review your message and tap
Attaching Files to a Message
On the message composition screen, press 
1.
Menu
> Attach
.
2.
Select a multimedia attachment type:
: Opens the Gallery application. Select the
Pictures
picture you wish to send with the outgoing
message.
