Press to switch between standby and on
(not possible on all models).

Use to play the reverse side of the tape on a
reversible deck.

Use to play the forward side of the tape on
a reversible deck.

Press to pause playback or recording.

Press to fast forward the tape. Pressing
during playback starts forward search.

Press to rewind the tape. Pressing during
playback starts reverse search.

For deck two or any tape deck

Press twice within 10 seconds to start
recording or pause recording.
For deck one of a dual tape
deck:
