6 Firmware update
The VL3x0 is firmware update ready. If provided, updates and instructions on the updating pro-
cess can be downloaded at:

7 Safety precautions
Do not open the unit – danger of electric shock!
•
Even in powered down state lethal voltages may still be stored in the power supply for a while.
Any repair should be performed by trained personnel.

Avoid the contact with spray water and extreme humidity. Especially prevent the entrance of
•
water through the cooling slots.
If moved from a very humid and cool atmosphere to warm temperature surroundings we
advise to wait a reasonable amount of time before powering on the unit. In this manner,
humidity can exit. This is important since condensed humidity on the electronics may cause
malfunction or even damage when switched on under these conditions.
Do not cover the cooling slots in order to guarantee sufficient heat dissipation.

Keep the VL3x0 away from heat sources and open fire.
•
Allow a secure footing and prevent any tensile loading of the connecting cables.
•
Replace any damaged power cords
•
Never disconnect the mains grounding of the power cord – Risk of electric shock!
•
Ground loops should be taken care of by engaging the Ground-free switch or by employing
DI-Boxes.
