4 Installation

This chapter provides step-by-step instructions explaining how to install the drivers and
software needed for using the AUDIO 2 DJ .
To make use of the AUDIO 2 DJ , you need to install its driver first. The driver handles
communication between the AUDIO 2 DJ hardware and your computer.
The driver itself is not accessible: like any other driver on your operating system, it is a piece
of software loaded in the background when your system starts up. The driver takes care of
all audio coming from the AUDIO 2 DJ hardware through the USB 2.0 connection.
Although the driver itself is inaccessible, you can edit some of its settings to modify its
behavior for your audio setup.
These settings can be edited. How to achieve this will be explained in detail in
"Understanding the Control Panel."
