3.5 Command Formats

Level III commands on the CLD-V2800 are expressed as "Command Mnemonics", so
they are easy to remember. "Command Mnemonics" are also used for Level III control
of the CLD-V2600, CLD-V2400, LD-V8000, LD-V4400, the LD-V2200, & LD-V4200
(a discontinued models), the LC-V330 Autochanger, as well as for the LD-V4100 (PAL
player), CLD-V2300 (NTSC/PAL) and the LD-V4300D (NTSC/PAL player). Some
commands are preceded by an "argument" expressed as an integer. These may
indicate a specific "address" location on the disc or set function parameters.
Command Mnemonic
alphabetic characters, representing the command mnemonic. There is no
distinction between uppercase letters and lowercase letters. Example: PL (Play);
Pl (Play); pl (Play).
Argument
—An argument is expressed in ASCII digits and it is placed before the
command. When a command requiring an argument has no argument, an error
(E06) is returned. An argument consists of either an address or an integer:
