Error Types and Countermeasures

Follow the flowcharts on the next page based on the ERROR LED blinking patterns in the table
below and repair the printer. The printer does the following when an error occurs:
All operations stop
The printer goes off-line (when DIP SW 1-8 is off).
The ERROR LED blinks.

(1) Head high-
temperature

(3) High-voltage
error
(4) Low-voltage
error
(5) CPU execution
error
(6) Print head
temperature
detection error.

Auto-cutter
error
(*1) This error can occur for a short time during normal printing, when the print head reaches a high
temperature. No repair is necessary in this case.

Error Description
Print head temperature is too
high.
Home position cannot be
detected due to a paper jam or
other problem.
Power supply voltage is too
high.
Power supply voltage is too
low.
CPU is trying to execute an
invalid address.
Print head temperature is out
of normal operating range.
Abnormality occurs in the
auto-cutter.
